The Department of Computer Science, founded on the 1st of January 2015, has been dedicated to the noble pursuit of nurturing computer science professionals of international repute. Our mission encompasses a twofold objective: to cater to the burgeoning IT industry's demands and to foster cutting-edge research in the field.
As the youngest department within the faculty, we offer a comprehensive array of course modules. These modules delve into the scientific and theoretical aspects of computing, while also keeping a keen eye on the ever-evolving trends in computing, particularly within the domain of Artificial Intelligence.
We take immense pride in presenting two prominent academic programs: the BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and the BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering. These programs are tailored for students with a background in the physical sciences and those who have successfully completed their GCE A/L examinations.
Our department's research endeavors span a wide spectrum, delving into the realms of Theoretical Computing and Artificial Intelligence. We are committed to not only enhancing our research culture but also contributing to the larger faculty-wide research landscape. In our quest for excellence, we continue to shape the future of computer science education and research, striving for academic and professional distinction.
